Meadowlark is now taking pre-applications for its 2014 Yoga Teacher Training.
This Teacher Training course has arisen through a necessity: we need more Yoga teachers in our community! There is a growing number of Yoga students in our community at Meadowlark who are ready to take that next step. So, its time for students and teachers alike to collaborate and take those first steps together.
Teacher Trainees will get together Easter weekend 2014 for the Induction workshop. At this time we will begin an intensive period of study together which will include:
Philosophy & Basic Sanskrit
Professional Practice Top Tips
Assisting and Observation of Mentor and other teachers
Teaching Yoga to others!
Training sessions commence in April 2014. Training modules will be comprised of a range of workshops and intensives with Senior Yoga Teachers Karen Breneman and Sarah Hatcher, as well as guest tutors, over the 12 month period. This means that each Trainee will have the option to focus on the aspect of training which suits their particular interests and availability.
There are three mandatory long weekend TT meetings for everyone to attend: one Induction Long Weekend; Half Term Long Weekend, and the Graduation Long Weekend. Everything else is designed by each trainee to suit their interest, whether they are specialising in Mysore Style Ashtanga, or learning how to teach vigourous Hot Vinyasa. There will be something for everyone, and lots of teaching support and opportunities to shadow current classes at Meadowlark Yoga.
Teacher Trainee hopefuls should have extensive experience of Yoga practice. Edinburgh-based applicants are strongly advised to attend regular Yoga classes at Meadowlark Yoga and to develop a relationship with one of their experienced Yoga teachers.
